Do I Need Special Gear?

The short answer: No.

One of the biggest myths about triathlon is that you need expensive equipment to participate.

For your first race, you can complete a triathlon with the gear you likely already own.


Many first-time triathletes are surprised at how simple it really is.

All You Need:

  • ✔ Any swimsuit
  • ✔ Any working bicycle
  • ✔ A bike helmet
  • ✔ Running shoes

That’s it. No special bike, no expensive gear required.

Not at all. This program is designed specifically for first-time triathletes!

 

No. Many athletes participating will be doing their first triathlon ever.

No. You can complete your first race with basic gear.  A swimsuit and goggles.  Bike (any kind will do!) and helmet, and running shoes!
